PP Strapping: Raw Material Classification

1. By Raw Material Purity

  • New Material (Pure Material) PP Strapping: Made of brand-new polypropylene resin, with bright color and strong tensile strength, suitable for high-demand scenarios such as automatic packing machines and export packaging.

  • Mixed New and Recycled Material PP Strapping: Adopting a mixture of new materials and recycled materials, with low cost and medium performance, suitable for general industrial packaging.

  • Recycled Material Sandwich PP Strapping: The outer layer is PP material, and the inner layer is filled with a large amount of recycled materials or fillers. It has low cost but unstable performance, and is only suitable for occasions with low requirements on strength and appearance.

2. By Purpose/Function

  • Ordinary/Colored Strapping: Used for bundling conventional cartons and light pallets.

1. By Raw Material Source

  • Virgin PET Chips: Polymerized from PTA and EG, with high viscosity and stable performance, used for producing high-strength Class H and Class M products.

  • Recycled PET Bottle Flakes/Crushed Materials: Made by crushing recycled PET bottles, etc., which are environmentally friendly raw materials. They can produce qualified PET Strapping to meet some medium and low strength requirements.

2. By Formula and Performance

  • Ordinary PET Strapping: Meets basic strength and temperature resistance requirements, used for conventional industrial bundling.

  • Tackified PET Strapping: Adding tackifier to make the strapping bond more firmly when lapped. The lap strength can reach 70-90% of the strapping, suitable for automatic buckless packing machines.

  • Special PET Strapping: Such as flame-retardant PET Strapping, used for bundling products with high fire safety requirements such as batteries and energy storage.
